Whether through manifestation, hard work, or a bit of both, Thabsie went from the corporate world to topping local charts. The businesswoman turned RnB vocalist is known for her tunes African Queen as well as collaborating on a 2017 track with multi-award-winning rapper, Kwesta, Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe. It was the latter that catapulted this sensational singer into the spotlight.

Despite always being consumed by music, it was never Thabsie’s intention to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. After getting her BCom Economic degree, she ended up working in the corporate world of investment banking. Stable? Yes. But clearly not satisfying for Thabsie who was born to perform.

After two years of being desk-bound, she traded the boardroom for the studio, realising that she had to give music a go. She has since featured alongside many industry greats, including Cassper Nyovest, Black Motion and Proverb. And, within a year of becoming a full-time musician, she had already been nominated for several SAMAs!

It’s safe to say that Thabsie has managed to manifest the life that she wants. She believes that if she can do it, anyone can. It just takes hard work, motivation and faith in yourself. Here are her seven tips for finding your purpose and manifesting the life you deserve.

How to Manifest the Life You Deserve, According to Thabsie

1. Find Your Purpose

“This is where it all begins,” explains Thabsie. “My dad always said that discovering it was another one of life’s great achievements. Once you establish what you were put on this earth to do, your life direction will become much clearer. It will also set the tone for how you live your life.”

2. Be Patient and Get Prepped

“We all know that it takes time and patience to reach our goals,” says Thabsie. “But, while we are hustling, grinding and waiting for big things to happen, we should be preparing ourselves for the dream life that’s around the corner. During this time, continue to hone your skills to get closer to your purpose.”

3. Have the Courage to Pivot

Thabsie left her stable corporate job to pursue a music career. This courage to pivot comes from her belief in chasing what you are passionate about. “The world will always try to convince you to take the safe route,” she says. “But sometimes you need to find the courage to take the leap of faith and just go for it.”

4. Dream *Really* Big!

This star doesn’t believe in limiting herself. And neither should you! “Dream impossibly big!” she says. “If I dream of being a trillionaire, I'm probably gonna land around being a billionaire or millionaire. And that's not too bad either! Sometimes landing just under impossible is pretty sweet, too.”

5. Embrace Positive Affirmations

“I'm a huge believer that a positive mindset helps to keep you motivated on the path to living the life you deserve,” explains Thabsie. “I feel that motivation comes from within. I have an app on my phone and every morning I wake up to a positive affirmation and I literally repeat them out loud. It’s powerful stuff!”

6. Take a Holistic Approach to Health

“If we are unhealthy, we can’t perform at our optimum level,” explains Thabsie. “Exercising and eating right is crucial. So are other positive habits, such as waking up and going to bed early and spending enough time with yourself as well as those who love and support you.”

7. Fake It ‘til You Make It

“I believe that to achieve the life you deserve you should act like it's already yours,” says Thabsie. “I walk into a room and pretend I am already ‘that’ girl! Believing that you are already there and exuding *all* the confidence to match will help you attract what is truly meant for you.”
